Find the gaps in your business. Fix what’s costing you time and money.

Thirty minutes talking through the parts of your business you want to improve. I analyze and find where time and money are leaking, and show you what modern tools and fixes can actually do for you.

  • A written analysis of how your business runs and where it’s losing time
  • One fix built for you and handed over working
  • Practical recommendations you can act on, with or without me
  • Continued support afterward if you want it
  • One flat fee — no retainer, no contract, no hidden costs

Problems I usually find

Most businesses I talk to don’t have a strategy problem. They have ten small operational weak points nobody has the time to look at.

  • A request comes in and waits.

Days pass before anyone responds, and by then the moment is gone.

The fix: every request routed to one place with an automatic reply in under a minute.

  • Details live in someone’s head.

What was promised, what’s outstanding, what comes next — none of it written where the team can see it.

The fix: a shared record that updates itself as work moves, instead of when someone remembers.

  • Tracking and reporting is manual.

The numbers exist. Getting to them takes an afternoon nobody has.

The fix: the reports you actually use, built once and delivered on a schedule.

  • The same task, every week.

Work that follows the same steps every time and still gets done by hand.

The fix: an automation that runs it, so the time goes back to your team.

  • Work gets handed off and dropped.

It moves from one person to the next and something gets lost in the gap.

The fix: handoffs that carry their own context, so nothing depends on a verbal update.

  • The same questions get answered over and over.

Your team retypes the same replies and rebuilds the same documents every week.

The fix: the repeated parts generated automatically, so people only handle the exceptions.

This isn’t your people’s fault. It’s a business that grew faster than the systems it runs on, and the systems just need an update.

What you get

  1. A complete map of your workflows.

Your business process from start to finish, as a flowchart, including the steps nobody ever wrote down. Most owners have never seen their own operation on a single page — and it’s usually where the first surprise comes from.

  2. The problems, with numbers attached.

How many requests are affected, how many hours are lost, what billable time it’s costing you. Not opinions about what could be better. Arithmetic you can check, with the assumptions written down.

  3. One fix, built and handed over.

I take a repetitive task eating your team’s week, build the automation, and hand it over running. You keep it whether or not we work together again.

  4. Real solutions, not ideas.

Which tools actually fit how you work, what they cost, and what they will and won’t do. You get options and specifics — not a list of things you should look into.

  5. A 90-day roadmap.

What to fix first, second, and third, in the order that returns the most. Written so your team could execute it without me.

  6. A scoped proposal.

If something’s worth building properly, you get it priced before you decide anything. If nothing is, I’ll tell you that too.

One flat fee.

$195 covers everything above. No retainer, no monthly minimum, no hidden costs.

No commitment.

You’re not signing anything. If the audit is useful and you want to stop there, we stop there — the fix is yours to keep.

You work with me directly.

The person on your call is the person doing the analysis and building the fix.

How it works

Almost all of the work is mine. You talk through what’s frustrating you, and I take it from there.

  1. A thirty-minute conversation. I ask targeted questions: how work comes in, what happens next, who does what, where it breaks, what you’d most like to fix. No pitch, no slides.
  2. I go away and do the work. You get the written audit and the thing I built for you, working.
  3. We walk through it. A short call covering what I found, what I’d do first, what’s worth prioritizing, and what it would cost. If you want to stop there, we stop there.

This is meant to be the start of a working relationship. I’d rather understand your business properly and be useful over time than sell you a document.

Who this is for

  • Mortgage brokers and insurance agencies Inbound leads, renewals, and pipeline spread across too many places.
  • Real estate firms Enquiries, showings, and follow-up that depend on someone remembering.
  • Marketing and web agencies Project intake, proposals that go quiet, and reporting rebuilt by hand each month.
  • Financial advising and planning practices Onboarding, review cycles, and client documentation that eat billable hours.
  • Accounting and bookkeeping practices Client requests, document collection, and deadline-driven work that repeats every cycle.
  • Small local service businesses Calls, quotes, and scheduling handled between jobs.

The operations audit is $195.

  • A thirty-minute conversation about how your business runs
  • A written, comprehensive audit
  • One automation built and delivered
  • A follow-up call to walk through everything

Nothing is locked in before or after. If we find something worth building, implementation is quoted separately and we talk through it from there.

About

Hurt Advisory is an operations and automation consulting practice for service businesses, based in Reston, Virginia.

I’m Andrew Hurt, the founder. I work in corporate strategy inside the financial services industry, where I spend my time on how processes and numbers actually behave inside a large organization. Over the past year I built and ran a client intake product for small firms, which is where I learned that what businesses need most is someone to close the gaps costing them time and money.

That’s the work. I find the gaps and fix them while you keep doing what you do best. We talk, we build a working relationship, I identify and fix, your business improves.
